FIRST GOVERNANCE COUNCIL MEETING - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH @ 3:30 PM

Governance Council Meeting FlyerOur first Governance Council meeting of the year will be on Thursday, September 26 at 3:30pm over zoom. This council meeting will give our Topeka parents and teachers an opportunity to discuss what they feel is important, how our school budget is being used and what we can do as a whole to keep Topeka moving forward in the right direction. Please join us for an overview to discuss the importance of the Governance Council and how you can make a difference. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Distinguished School

- Meets at least 6 times per school year. 
- Agendas are developed prior to the meetings. 
- Consensus Oriented decision-making body. 
- Ensures we have direct involvement of parents and teachers in the process of implementing the plan outlined in our Charter. 
- Serves in an advisory capacity.

There are several Governance Council Committees parents can participate in to understand the various roles teachers play in supporting Topeka. Here are the Committees and locations.
 
Supporting Positive Behavior Interventions and Gifted Committee: Room 15

Technology and Curriculum: Room 21
 
The next Governance Council Committee Meeting takes place on Tuesday, February 27 at 1:40 pm after school dismissal.
